Gazprom says to launch Kovykta field for Sila Sibiri pipe in 2022
MOSCOW, May 28 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom plans to launch commercial production at the Kovykta gas condensate field, including pumping of gas to the Sila Sibiri (Power of Siberia) export pipeline, at the end of 2022, Deputy CEO Vitaly Markelov said in an interview to the company’s corporate magazine published on Thursday.
“The launch of commercial operation of the Kovytkinskoye gas condensate field with pumping of gas into the mainline pipe is supposed to happen at the end of 2022,” he said.
The field should reach its plateau production of 27.2 billion cubic meters of gas per year in 2026, and the projected gas condensate production should amount to 1.4 million tonnes, he said.
Gazprom is considering attracting Russian and foreign partners to development of the Tambeiskoye field in the Yamal Peninsula. Gazprom and Rusgazdobycha are still evaluating the joint project to define technical aspects and conditions of its implementation, he said.
Gazprom also plans to launch production at the fourth and fifth Achimov blocks of the Urengoiskoye field this year, and launch the third block in 2021. Production of natural gas at the first block amounted to 9.8 billion cubic meters in 2019 and to 3.5 billion cubic meters at the second block. Output of gas condensate amounted to 4.1 million tonnes and 1.5 million tonnes, respectively, he said.
Markelov said that the company scheduled the launch of the Kruzenshternskoye field for 2028.
“To meet the forecast medium term demand, Gazprom plans to expand production capacities in the zone of the unified gas distribution system, including through launching the Kruzenshternskoye gas condensate field. Under the plan for development of the senoman deposit of the field, the launch of the Kruzenshternskoye field scheduled for 2028,” he said, adding that the field’s maximum projected capacity is 33 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
